( – Last month, former Georgia lieutenant governor Geoff Duncan received a call from President Joe Biden. While Duncan has been a lifelong Republican, who had never before voted for a Democrat, yet he announced a formal endorsement for the former President. Biden in response called him to thank him for his support.

These Republican endorsements are essential for Biden who is trying to win the support for undecided and independent voters ahead of the 2024 election. In the upcoming weeks, the Biden campaign is going to be placing a lot of focus on these Republican endorsements, including Duncan’s and more recently former Rep. Adam Kinzinger (R-Ill.), who on Wednesday endorsed the president.

In a video that was shared by the Biden campaign, Kinzinger stated that as a “proud conservative” he has always placed the U.S. Constitution and Democracy above everything else. He noted that it is because of this support for Democracy that he is officially endorsing President Joe Biden in the 2024 presidential campaign.

Kinzinger is the latest big name to endorse Biden and is likely to become one of the faces that the Biden campaign often uses in televised ads.

In an interview with The Hill, Duncan had argued that this presidential election was hinging on that 10 percent that would either stay home or go out and vote. He added that he would do everything in his power to defeat Trump and get back his GOP, even if that means campaigning with President Joe Biden and doing commercials and speeches in his favor.
