(ConservativeFreePress.com) – On Wednesday, President Joe Biden tested positive for coronavirus after his recent event in Las Vegas. He is now set to self-isolate in Delaware according to a statement by Karine Jean-Pierre, the White House press secretary.
In her statement, Jean-Pierre noted that Biden is fully “vaccinated and boosted” and that currently, he has only exhibited mild 9 symptoms. She added that he is going to be returning to Delaware where he will be handling his duties fully while in self-isolation. She continued by pointing out that the White House is going to supply regular updates on the status of the President as he keeps carrying out his duties.
On Wednesday afternoon, Biden had arrived at Harry Reid International Airport without a mask, after the announcement of his diagnosis. Many reporters had questioned him while he entered Air Force One. In response, Biden had stated that he felt “good.”
Biden also took to the social media platform X, formerly known as Twitter, to acknowledge his diagnosis and noted that he is going to be self-isolating until he has recovered. He added that during this time he will continue to work for the American people.
According to Biden’s doctor, the president has several symptoms including a non-productive cough and a runny nose. They added that Trump had originally felt fine during the first event but as he had not started to feel better they tested him for coronavirus. They noted that the results had returned positive and that the president is now going to follow CDC guidance and self-isolate as is the guidance for symptomatic individuals.
