(ConservativeFreePress.com) – On Wednesday, during the Republican National Convention, family members of some of the 13 American service members who had died during the Afghanistan withdrawal appeared on stage. This emotionally charged moment highlighted one of the lowest points of the Biden administration.

Many of the family members have slammed President Joe Biden for having never publicly named and acknowledged the 13 members. During their recent appearance, one family member had proceeded to name all 13 service members who had lost their lives, with the crowd echoing back the names.

Marine Sgt. Nicole Gee’s mother-in-law Christy Shamblin pointed out that Biden had never acknowledged the sacrifice that their relatives had made, but that former President Donald Trump by comparison had known the names of all of their children and their stories.

Trump and the entire convention hall were standing as they chanted “Never forget!” This display was meant to be a direct response by the RNC to President Biden who has repeatedly claimed that Trump has no respect for veterans. Biden has often also stated that retired Gen. John Kelly had previously claimed that Trump had talked about some World War II soldiers by referring to them as suckers and losers. Trump has continuously denied these allegations.

In August 2021, in the suicide bombing at Kabul airport, 13 U.S. service members lost their lives. Sixty Afghans were also killed during the incident as the U.S. was evacuating the country following two decades of war.

Following the incident, the family members of those service members have often appeared in the spotlight giving interviews and appearing before the Congress.
