(ConservativeFreePress.com) – In a recent report on the Hill, it was noted that Vice President Kamala Harris had condemned Saturday’s assassination attempt on former President Donald Trump during Wednesday’s campaign event.
Harris stated that she was going to briefly speak about the attempt on Trump’s life. On Saturday a 20-year-old shooter had opened fire during Trump’s rally in Pennsylvania. One of the bullets had ended up piercing Trump’s ear, while the shooting also resulted in the death of one attendee and two others being critically injured.
Harris slammed the act which she referred to as both “heinous” and “cowardly” while expressing that both she and her husband, Doug Emhoff, were grateful that Trump had not been injured seriously. She noted that following the incident they immediately prayed for Trump and his family, and had their thoughts turn to Melania Trump and the former President, both of whom they have met.
The shooter had been perched on the rooftop of a nearby building giving him clear access to Trump. His fire killed Corey Comperatore, who Harris also mentioned in her remarks. She praised Comperatore for being a “true hero” as he had died while trying to protect his family. She added that she and her husband were holding Comperatore and his family close to their heart. She also wished a swift recovery to all those who had been injured during the shooting and noted that they will be praying for all the victims of the shooting and their families.
