(ConservativeFreePress.com) – Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas) in an episode of his podcast “The Verdict” which aired on Monday warned that Vice President Kamala Harris should not be underestimated. A day earlier President Biden had announced in a letter that he was dropping out of the presidential race and had proceeded to endorse Harris as his replacement.
Cruz states in his episode that he is worried about the GOP underestimating Harris and argues that they don’t appear to be thinking of her very highly. He continued by arguing that when Harris is mentioned among Republicans people will always laugh and think that she is not very smart.
However, he argued that he believes people are underestimating how the free media was trying to portray her as being some combination of Gandhi, Oprah, and Mother Teresa.
Following the announcement that Biden is dropping out of the race, the Democrats were quick to rally behind Harris, and within the first 24 hours of her launching her campaign, they had raised $81 million.
Despite this, Cruz argued that he still thinks the winner of the 2024 presidential election is going to be former President Donald Trump but argued that this would not be an easy victory. He noted that for the Democrats what is making them nervous is the chaos and that this decision had resulted in a lot of chaos only 100 days from November’s election. However, he pointed out that it was even scarier for them to be heading into an election that they are certain to lose, which was the case if Biden had remained the nominee.
